Digital Technologies Professional Development

Bridge the gap between technology and the classroom with our hands-on professional development workshops. Designed specifically for teachers, these sessions move beyond theory to give you a “real feel” for the tools your students will use. With small group sizes and a focus on real-world implementation, you’ll walk away with the technical skills and the confidence to run engaging STEM activities the very next day.

Digital Technologies: Where Do I Start?

The perfect entry point for primary school educators. We unpack the curriculum, demystify the terminology, and explore a range of free and low-cost resources. You’ll leave with a clear understanding of how Digital Technologies fits into your classroom and a toolkit of activities ready for immediate use.

Introduction to Scratch Programming

Learn the basics of this powerful, free creative platform. We cover the fundamental skills needed to guide students as they create interactive stories, games, and art. No prior programming experience necessary!

Robotics & Physical Computing

LEGO® SPIKE™ Prime: Robotics in Action Discover why robotics is a powerhouse for teaching Math, Science, and Technology. This workshop covers everything from basic robot movement and sensor use to simple programming structures. We provide practical classroom activities that will excite and inspire your students. No prior experience necessary!

Introduction to Micro:bits

Explore this inexpensive, “no-fiddly-wiring” minicomputer. Perfect for everything from middle years to upper secondary, we’ll guide you through a graphical programming language to create games and wearable tech. No prior programming experience necessary!

Introduction to Arduino Programming

Step into the world of open-source electronics. Learn how to use Arduino boards to read inputs (like light levels) and trigger outputs (like motors and LEDs). It’s the ultimate tool for teaching circuits and high-level logic. Previous programming experience (LEGO, Python, or Scratch) is encouraged but not essential.
